About The Charlotte Labor Day Parade

Organized by the Labor Day Committee in conjunction with the Southern Piedmont Central Labor Council and other local labor unions, the parade honors the accomplishments of organized labor in our country, our region, and in our community. The parade runs down North Tryon Street from 9th Street through the Square, turning on 3rd Street, then turning onto College Street and ending. It features local labor union floats, vehicles, and marchers. The parade also features political candidates, bands, car clubs, and community groups. The Charlotte Labor Day Parade is a genuine Labor Day parade - put on by organized Labor honoring American Labor on Labor Day. Come on out for "an old fashioned parade - union made".
